Zinjanthropus was a significant undertaking requiring extensive planning, shooting and completion. The ambitious project had a unique premise and story, featuring a cast of three members, bizarre locations, and unique lighting setups. I was enthusiastic about the film's potential, with its dark and mysterious setting and original musical score by Ando Leuchter of Calgary. The film was inspired by the themes of time, history, and personal and collective destiny. Zinjanthropus won Best Experimental Film at the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Awards. I have always wanted to remake the film into a feature, as I believe it has great potential for a larger budget production.
