Annabel Lee
Annabel Lee was my first breakthrough film achieving great international success. The film was inspired by a poem by Edgar Allan Poe and the music of Mozart’s Requiem. The film effectively combines poetic imagery, music, narration with the performance by Natalie Lazarou playing the part of Annabel Lee. The film demonstrates my talents in poetic filmmaking and in particular of working with image and sound and image and music. The film allowed me to discover my own artistic voice and opened up a new world of artistic expression and artistic confidence. The film was selected to screen in over a dozen countries, winning multiple awards in the Best Experimental Film category.
